Babylon

Named for the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, this design is a rectangular version of Midnight Garden. It’s knit from one end straight through to the other, then bound off loosely. The pattern is written in three sizes: narrow scarf, wide scarf, and stole.


Yarn: Lace weight yarn. Narrow scarf 310; wide scarf: 515 yards; stole: 950 yards.
Model: Narrow scarf knit with Yarn Place Gentle, in Dark Ruby.
Gauge: 19 sts to 4 inches (10 cm) in stockinette, blocked.
Needles: US 4 (3.5 mm), or size required for gauge.
Finished size: 10 x 55 [14.5 x 65, 23.5 x 71] inches; 25.5 x 140 [37 x 165, 60 x 180] cm.
