Flower FaireThe pattern is knit from the center toward one edge from a provisional cast on. The second side is knit after the first is completed by picking up the other side of the cast on chain, and repeating the pattern. The pattern is written for three sizes: narrow scarf [wide scarf, stole]. The narrow scarf assumes a thick lace weight or fingering weight yarn, while the other sizes assume a finer lace yarn.If you prefer triangular shawls, see Garden Party. It uses the same stitches, and has an interesting construction.

This pattern is listed on Ravelry. Thank you! Many, many thanks to my wonderful test knitters: Kim (sadly blogless) and Kristie, without whom this pattern would be filled with holes and errors. Thank you, ladies!TestimonialsKathy in Kansas writes:"This was such a fun pattern to knit. It was so well written that I was even able to make some small modifications to make it slightly wider than the wide scarf version. Very well done." Later Kathy added: Here's a picture of Kathy's award winning stole. |
