Algernon

A complex combination of cable motifs. The front of the sock has a large cable motif. The sides and back of the sock are three repetitions of a much different, simpler motif. The sock is named in honor of Oscar Wilde’s character Algernon in the play, The Importance of Being Earnest.

Thank you Kristie for test knitting this sock. Kristie knit her socks in a gorgeous yarn from Lorna's Laces. Her stitches really pop in that yarn.

Testimonials

This pattern was featured by Lime & Violet on August 26, 2008. This is what they said:
"I love cables. They add such an impact, and unlike lace, I find them soothing to knit. Enter Algernon by Fiber Dreams. This top down sock pattern features a large cable motif on the front. Three repeats of another motif around the sides and back complete the cuff."
