Diamonds in His Shoes

A nicely textured pattern that is fun and easy to knit, resulting in a sock that my husband actually wears. Socks is knit from the toe up, and has a short-row heel.

A pdf of this pattern can be purchased at Patternfish. The paid version includes three sizes (7.5 [9, 10.75] inches) and both written and charted stitch instructions.

The free version of this pattern includes just one size (9 inches), and only charted stitch instructions. The current plan is to leave the free version online through September 7, 2010. After that, only the paid version will be available.

Yarn: Fingering weight sock yarn.
Model: Model knit with Maizy from Crystal Palace, 2 balls, color 1001, Night Shades.
Needles: US 1.5 (2.5 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauge: 7.5 stitches per inch.
Finished size: 7.5 [9, 10.75] inches
